I've noticed with a new colony of star polyps I've just brought home that my emerald crabs seem to be all over it pulling at it. I cant really see what they are getting from it but I just wanted to make sure they are safe to have in there with it? Thanx Dave E

they are probably trying to eat the GSPs. i would suggest feeding the crabs some algae strips. it keeps mine from hunting a meal.

umm, emerald crabs eat everything. they are as bad as gorilla crabs... or at least potentially as bad.

Mine mowed over a ton of GSP, a few super nice zoanthids, killed off three acro frags by ripping at their tissues, and then lastly killed two of my gobies. And ate them.

I can't get him out without taking apart my whole tank, so I've been waiting while my 98 gallon is finished being setup. But it keeps on eating everything and anything.

Feed it algae wafers and cyanide. that'll do it =)

My Emerald will feed on the chaeto ball that I put in the tank for my tang.
