Who runs there Fuge lights opposite the main lights?

I was debating the idea. I dont have a problem with Ph, other than that is there a need?

I run mine 24/7.. More light to chaeto = more growth for chaeto.

I have my fuge behind the tank, and I recently put the fuge light on a timer to save electricity. The chaeto gets some light from the halides, so the light's off when the halides on, and I give it an extra 2 hrs dark period.

I use to run the fuge lights at night for years but didn't see any advantages to this. Just a waste of electricity. I thought it would have helped maintain ph...but it didn't. Only dripping limewater does that for me. I always have tons of Chaeto so no worries there.
