I recently purchase 3 400w 10K Ushio metal halide bulbs to go over my 180 SPS reef. One of the bulbs seems to have a much more yellow tint to it then the other 2 bulbs. I switched the bulbs around to make sure it wasn't one of my ballast and it wasn't.

Should I wait for a good 40 hour burn in period for this issue to resolve?

Any one else using these bulbs have the same issue?

Where could I find the recommended burn in time frame for these bulbs?

Regards-
Keith

When I first got my halides one of the bulbs was much yellower. I dont have Ushio's but at first they looked great, then one shifted. After a week it was un-noticable and they had all mellowed out to about the same level.

If they dont then have the bulb warrantied. I would however notify the person you got them from so they know there might be an issue.

tkeracer619-

Yeah, I let the place I purchased them from and they said after a 10 days if they do not even up to just bring the bulb back and they will replace it.

Anyone else experience this with these bulbs?
