Will he ever stop pounding??

My Gonodactylus smithii has been pounding on the outside of his PVC pipe cave for the last 5 hours straight or so. Will he ever stop because he is getting nowhere (its like 1/4 inch thick pvc)? I dont want him to overexhaust himself or anything. What do you think?

I would let him be. He will figure out that he can't break through. If he gets tired he will stop.

I have have several mantis the small ones like to click at odd times at night. Since they are in my room they sometimes wake me up and the big one is regrowing his clubs. He woke me up a bunch of times. If he din't stop I woukld tape on the glass and that seemed to make him stop.
