I have a Powder Blue Tang x10 days from LiveAquaria. Very healthy in appearance and about 3 1/2" long. It has been constantly picking at the rocks but until today has not eaten anything I put in the tank. Well today, thank goodness, it has started eating the nori I put in each day. I have a foxface and a lawnmower blenny that eat it like pigs. I have heard that broccoli flowerettes are also good to feed tangs. This is probably a stupid question but do you feed the fresh broccoli raw or slightly parboil it first to soften it? I feed zuchini to my freshwater fish and parboil it before feeding so wondered if should do same for this.

it's an old school recipe item. Kinda before we fed nori and gracilleria. It works. Probably at least on a theoretical basis not as good as nori and gracilleria, but certainly something that was used for years "back in the day" with good results.

Freeze 'em. Freeze the florets.
