oh how I'd love to have a 400 gallon tank. But quick question for ya, why only go 1 foot bigger? I mean if you're gonna go bigger when you've already got a 300 gal, shouldn't you go and nearly double it? Space constraints? Maybe it's time to just put in that 10,000 gallon dream tank we all want lol

The main reason is space. The tank is on a wall in my first floor family room. The stand is 8' x 2' x 2.5 ' (LxWxH) . The wall is a common wall with the bathroom and is only 10 feet wide up to the doorway to the family room. I would only need to extend the tank stand 1 foot out from the wall; all other dimensions would remain the same as well as all of the equipment including lighting. A much bigger tank would need more changes and additional equipment and addtional energy costs. The estra 1 foot would allow more space for front to back aquascaping with less of a need to slant the aquascaping on an angle from fron t to back.

But a 10,000 gal tank would be awesome, if I were independently wealthy!
