Very pretty!

I cant remember the type of fish that is in the middle of the pic... long fin butterfly??? Are they safe for inverts? I think they are very pretty fish, & would like to have one, one day... What is their diet like, & are there any critters that they will not do well with?

Very nice tank!

Travis - the fish is some variety of Heniochus butterfly. They are sometimes known as a "poor mans Moorish Idol". Quite a beautiful fish, and I used to have a couple of those in a fish only tank.

Supposedly some varieties are fairly reef safe - others not so much so. Keep an eye on him Joker and make sure he isn't munching on things!!

Like I tell people daily, "reef safe" is a poor term. I have a "reef safe" fish that has all but destroyed my home tank. Ever heard of a Hippo killing a clam, eating xenia, candy coral, anthelia, and lastly blastomusa? You have now. Every fish "can" go crazy and start destroying you reef IMO, you just have to keep an eye on them. I know people who have angels in reefs with no problem at all, but I won't try it. On second thought maybe I should have, Im sure a flame angel could not have caused as much damage as this flippin hippo.

I have a one eyed Flameback Angel (long story) that only eats clams, nothing else yet, but considering I have had him in my home tank for over 3 years he hasn't munched anything (YET).
