Possible to trade in brand new AC Jr. for credit?

I purchased an AC Jr. controller with DC8 package about 5 months ago and never installed the controller. I just took it out to look at. I since purchased an AC III base unit with temp probe and ac adapter instead, and now I can't seem to sell just the AC Jr. to anybody, and it's been so long since I've bought it that no return policies will accept it back.

So I was wondering if there's anyway I can trade in the base unit with temp probe and ac adapter (keeping the dc8 for my ACIII) for maybe credit to go towards a probe etc.?

You are pretty local to me, but please let me know if this can be done.

It's an older base unit, no backlight, but brand new.

I'm just trying to see what my options are at this point.

We have the upgrade/trade-in program to an AC3 or AC3PRO, but otherwise don't have trade-in credit for old equipment.

Yeah, that's unfortunate because I bought my AC III already too.

I think I'll have to keep trying to sell it.
