Ive been doing some reading and read that DT's phyto is the best supplement to add to water for coral/marine invertebrate growth. any truth?? Im interested in buying a clam or 2 soon and would like to find out the best supplements to add for feeding. where can i buy DT's phyto anywhere online?? Ive looked at all the usual places...drsfostersmith, marinedepot, petsolutions

I currently have a 55 gal reef tank (2 ocellaris, 1 coral beauty, 1 australian butterfly, 3 blue devils) with 45 lbs live rock and a cleaner crew...its been cycled for about 2 months now

Marine Depot carries it <http://www.marinedepot.com/aquarium_additives_DTs_phytoplankton_oyster_eggs.asp?CartId=> but you may see if you can find it locally at your LFS because they charge a bit more for shipping since it needs to be refridgerated.

IME I don't really notice a true difference, but the corals do seem to like it. I'm trying out the oyster eggs right now...but too soon to tell if there is any real use to it. Good luck!

Check your local fish stores. Most of the online stuff must be shipped express or overnight and gets pretty expensive.

If you are unable to get DT's locally you can try BioPlankton, it is also a good product
