My wife and I are looking for a stand for our normal 20 gallon tank. We are hoping to have it as our next reef tank. Right now we are trying to get a 2.5 gallon up and running to start some coral in. Let us know if any of you have anything we can use.

2.5 is up and running, and even has a shrimp in it cleaning away.

kevin, yeah fixed the problem, had coral reef check my salinty today and it was 1.024. We changed out some of the water yesterday and it dropped the salinity. The shrimp we have now is running around cleaning and eating everything it can get to.

1.024 is totally fine. Many very experienced reefers keep their salinity at 1.025 actually.

So I'd say anywhere within 1.023 - 1.025 is completely fine.

awesome, I mentioned catching the reef fever, well today it hit even more when I was offered a 55 gallon tank for free. Thats right a college kids favorite word other than food FREE. Now I just have to save up for the lighting to go on it and the salt (which I had thought about seeing if the club had any left from that massive salt order that was placed a while ago). Looking to build a stand that house both of our 55's on it. Either an "L" shape or side by side. Any tips? And I also have to save up for some live rock. But unless things just fall into my lap the 55 salt will not be operational for some time. LOL

I may also be able to attend the meeting this weekend. I may not be able to stay the entire time, but I was told that there was a good tank there. So we will see.

Until Later
