I just broke down a reef tank (main tank) and took out the live rock, I also had a rock called fossil rock, from the local quarry. I realize it is not a local rock.

Interesting finding there appears to be large iron veins in the rock, when it was in the tank it was covered with corraline algae and tube worms etc. But when dry it is real apparent.

This rock was to be the main frame to set up a new large tank, but how can I use a rock that is obviously flawed.

DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS ROCK, I do not think it gave me a problem last time but it must be, bad!

(sorry I can not find my digital cord to import any pictures, I will have to look around for it, I did take some nice pictures.)

Forgot to mention what makes this rock cool, it was a water rock, it had shell imprints in it and shell pieces. Plus I have nice large pieces 2' plus. Hard to find in fiji live rock.
