Hey,

I'm setting up a 125g tank, and looking for advice on what I should add to my cleanup crew. I'm finding lots of what I'm guessing is hair alge (kind of looks like strands of dust).

Currently I have a handfull (6 or 7) of turbo snails, 4 urchins, a shrimp and a lobster.

I've seen sites selling cleanup crews, but they all seem to greatly vary in what/how many they sell for a certain size tank. What do I need to consider when buying?

Also, any negative effects on adding the crew slowly over many weeks as opposed to adding a couple hunderd little guys all at once?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Well sme astrea, cerith, nassarius snail work well as well as hermit crabs. But with a lobster snails and crabs could be dinner.
There is nothing wrond with adding over several weeks.
It is actually smart to do that this way so you dont overload the bacteria and cause a cycle.

If you add a hundred of any kind of snail they will eventually eat all the algae and will slowly starve.
So add slowly and varied.
