Whats a quiet pump?

im looking for a really quiet external pump at 1200gph...its for a tank in the living room and ours is really loud.

eheim, red dragon, if want just quiet get a poseidon PS4(titanium)
the poseidon will be quieter than eheim, but it adds more heat to water by my understanding. And that may make you have to run a chiller which has a compressor to make noise.
THe eheim doens't pump quite that much, but right at 1000 at 0 head 60 hz, if you would be on 50hz it would be lower.
why want over 1000 going thru your sump? or is it the CLS pump?

My skimmers seem to work better when throttling back the return pump a bit and it was only running approximately 900gph after head loss. Now i figure closer to 600.
Plus running it slower is easier to keep the noise from the overflow.
