Mushrooms In Transit

How long will mushrooms last in transit? I ordered some from an online vendor, and they were sent out to be here overnight on Thursday, but there has been a delay. When I checked the tracking, they will not get here until sometime today (Monday). That means they've been in the package 5 days. I'm wondering whether to just refuse the package without even opening it. Any thoughts?

mushrooms are very hardy and it is possible that they will make it as long as water temp is steady and there is enough shaking up to keep the water oxygenated, but personally i would refuse the package. talk to the company you bought them from adn the shipping company. if it is the shipping companies fault, then dont accept it and they will have to pay for a new one, but if it is the companies fault, check there policy.
