At the moment I have a ViaAqua sk200 skimmer which I thibk performs quite nicely, but I have been offered a berlin classic for a very good price, would this be a good upgrade

On a 65 it would be OK. Personally I would save up for a really good skimmer.

Do you mean my current skimmer would be ok or the berlin classic

The berlin would be OK, but there are better skimmers to save up for IMO. I've never seen a Via Aqua skimmer, do you have a pic/link?

I just saw the via aqua and yes the berlin is better. Marginally.

Probably not worth the upgrade IMO unless you also sell off the Via Aqua and can get some kind of cash for it... I do agree with the general principle of saving up for the best possible skimmer... I don't agree that violent men are the only reason people sleep peacefully at night ; )

I don't no anything about the skimmer itself but you could buy it cheaper here

Yeah, i think the Berlin would be a lateral move. Save up for something better.

The people sleeping peacefully at night aren't necessarily aware of the rough men who are READY (but not necessarily eager) to DO violence on their behalf. That doesn't change the fact.

My experience with a red sea berlin skimmer was not good. I don't think they are good skimmers and need to be constantly adjusted to keep them skimming. Don't go for it, wait/save for a really good skimmer, you'll save so much in the long run and have much better reefing.

Thanks
I think I'll rather save up my money for something better
