Hi just been giving some live rock which has be in a bucket for at least a week will it be dead now and if it is dead could i put it in a tropical tank

is it in saltwater or has it been out of the water?

Its probably not that dead at all actually. I wouldn't put it in a tropical tank. You'll definately kill it then. Are you trying to put it into a tropical tank or a saltwater. If saltwater then I'd suggest letting it sit in a trash can with seawater and a skimmer if you have it for a while until the phosphates go down. If you want to put it in a tropical tank it will probably raise the pH, so it will only be good for a cichlid or discus tank. Just bleach it and was it with vinegar to kill all the bacteria and phosphates.

its been in water from a salt water tank but im not going to have a marine set up now

if it has been in the bucket with saltwater then you should be fine. but i would do a complete water change of the bucket. or if you have nothing else in your tank but salt water just swish the rocks around and place it into the tank.

LR will change the PH of your freshwater tank.
dont use it its a big mistake
