Hi all,

My coral beauty has developed a spot on each one of it's eyes. This is not a cloudy film, but a very deffinite sharp edged spot. It looks to be inside the eye, not attached to the outside. Both eyes have these spots in the same place, but one eye appears to have two separate spots very close together. The fish shows no signs of stress or cange in behavior, still eating well. I have started feeding Kanaplex, and see no change. Any thoughts on what this could be. Fish has been in my system for 8months, and has been very healty. Should I worry? They are not getting worse, but they are not getting better either. I can't seem to get a clear picture, so I made a drawing to show the location. Don't laugh too hard, I passed 3rd grade art with this work.:D

0 Ammonia, Nitrire, Nitrate
1.024 SG

Been feeding a mixture of frozen foods, as well as Selcon, and Vita Chem. I also started adding DT's. Don't know if this matters.

Hi Mish - mine has had what sounds like the same thing, for close to a year now, I guess.

I've noticed no ill-effects, eats well, swims well, happy (I guess?). I'd be curious if anyone knows too, but I hesitate to 'help' the fish if it's something irregular. Often the cure is worse than the disease.....

I see the spot on your Coral Beauty, mine is bigger, bright white and a definite circle. It almost looks like a Nerite snail egg on the eye?

I agree, the fish shows no signs of stress, and to try a treatment that might work would only cause stress. I'm not going to do anything until I figure out what I'm dealing with, or I see a change in behavior.

Thanks for the reply.
