I ran a 96w daylight and a 96w actinic blue 3 PC on my 55 gallon for 6 mos and now added a 175 MH.

Is there anya dvantage to replacing the daylight with another actinic since I have the MH now? Will it improve the health of my corals and growth?

What color is your MH bulb? Your corals should get enough light from your MH so I would think adding another actinic would be a good idea, especially in the begining when your ajusting your corals to the new light so they don't get bleached.

if you have SPS, the extra actinic bulb will allow you to get richer colorations in your corals. If you want more growth then more white light would be better.

My MH bulb is 10,000 Kelvin, and I do have some SPS.

I have 2/3 actinic and 1/3 daylight bulbs. The coral looks good. It grows. It glows. R

You'd probably be happy adding the actinics.
