Im putting together a 5.5 gallon pico, with a built in refugium. I havent totally come up with a design yet, but im imagining an area of about 3x4 inches and about 7 inches deep that will house a clump of cheato. I'm not sure how to light it though. Any suggestions?
I am considering LED lights, but has anyone had success? And if so, what colors of led's were used.
Also, what is the best color of led used to make moonlights.
Finally, as an aside, the tank i will use was once used for freshwater, then saltwater, then it sat in my garage. Someone once told me that the silicone used for the glass can get contaminated. Should i replace the tank, or will it be fine if rinsed?
