View Full Version : anything else to spray back of tank with besides krylon fusion?
i cant find krylon spray paint for my life here locally. home depot, lowes, osh, all only carry rustolium.
im not sure what to do now....

Anything that sticks will work. I use cheapo HD stuff.

Yeah, you don't need a "special" spray paint. I've always painted my tanks flat black (and I've even used Rustoleum) and it has always worked fine. I assume you're painting the outside back of the tank, not the inside. Just give it a light coat so as not to cause drips, let it dry, then give it another coat. Give it a third if you're still not sure.

Can you elaborate??? That doesn't really tell us much. I've never had a problem with spray paint.

Rustoleum blue or black and the clear protective coat works for me

I have used it several times - works great. No roller or brush to clean and it is fast.
Why do you say it is not the way to go?

this is the best way to go with a small sponge roller.. i did 8 coats and it came out perfect.... i didnt do a protective coat but its does its job and looks awesome...
