Curious about this octo. Never seen one like this in a store. Very long and thin arms with extensive webbing between. Two very prominent protuberances or "horns" at the base of the mantle (can't see in the photo).

If anyone is curious about where they are (there are two of them), send me a PM. They are in a LFS in Orange County, CA.

It is more likely Wunderpus, but anyway this is bad news. I sincerely hope no one buys one of these.

Great looking wonderpus! its frowned on to keep them. But thats an awsome photo!

I agree with Gonodactylus- it's a wunderpus. You can tell it from the mimic by the distinct white and brown bands on the arm. The mimic has a brown background with white mottling.

I also agree with the others that these are not recommended pets. Not just for the ecological consequences, but also because they are extremely sensitive and very difficult to keep alive. As charismatic as they are in the wild, they don't really do much in an aquarium. Plus, providing appropriate habitat (deep but probably well-oxygenated sand beds) to keep them from (probably) being stressed adds another difficulty.
