Anemone Fact is down and I did a search and nothing good came up so I have 2 quick questions

What's minimal lighting for a LTA

How big do they get and how fast do they usually grow?

Feel free to share pics of your LTA as well

Here's mine in a 30 gal breeder with clowns, right now its about 10 inches across, its doing well and growing under 4X39 watt T5's. I would consider that minimal lighting to keep an LTA thriving.

Here's mine when it was under 2x65w Coralife PC fixture.

This is from last year before I had to move. It was under a 400w Venture 10K lamp.
This wasn't long after upgrading from PCs to MH in Aug 2005.

And this one a bit later in Oct 2005.

I have

4 65w PC's
- 2 Actinic
- 2 6500k

2 150w MH's
- 15000k

My tank is 25" deep but the overflow is 22 1/2" and the sandbed is 4 1/2" so from sand to water level is 18"

Anyone think its wont survive? I'm not looking to see a ton of growth I just dont want to be mistreating it by keeping it under poor lighting.

I think the lighting you have is adequate, but probably borderline on the low side. With regular feeding an LTA should do just fine under that lighting scheme. Be very picky about the specimen you chose even the slightest hint of poor health walk away. I had a very hard time finding a healthy one. They are very poor shippers IMO and most LFS dont adequately care for them.

you should be good you can feed them weekly but if you feed them heavily it will grow fast mine went from 4 inches to 14 in 18 months i stoped feeding it
