Custom Sea Life Light Fan Noise

Hi,

i recently purchased a used Custom Sea Life Light. It's the 36" long version with two 96 watts PC lights. I'm happy with it except for the fact that the fan is really loud.

It's not like the bearing is bad or anything, just moving a lot of air. I'm thinking about replacing the fan. Is there any recommendations on a quieter replacement? Is this light hard to disassemble?

I replaced mine with a ice-cap 3" variable speed muffle fan and it works great.

It comes in 4" as well.

Hey thanks a lot for the tip. I ordered one and installed it, so much quieter. I only wish it was 120v.

Yeah it would have been more plug and play if it was 120V, but it works well.
