Anyone have experience with getting rid of this hell algae. I have dismantled my tank twice to get rid of this and it just keeps coming back.

Yes, this stuff is begat by the devil. I have this stuff now. My rabbit fish and my sea hare enjoy it but haven't completely wiped it out. Keeps coming back.

thanks for the replies... this stuff is truely evil.. I am almost at my wits end.

Even if I could just get it under control I would be happy. I might try the rabbitfish.. Those are beauties in their own right. Which one do you have right now? What special precautions do you take with them considering they are posionous?

I will try some of those suggestions..

best regards

I have a foxface rabbitfish, generally it hides when my hands are in the tank. As long as your not trying to retrieve it with your hands you should be fine, they're not aggressive at all. They do get large so you should have minimum 75 gal tank to keep one healthy.

I only have a 50gal at the momment, with a 90gal tank waiting in the wings to be setup in the near future. I found a blue spotted Rabbitfish, any idea if this will eat this algae? He is 3" in size, I heard they are slow growers. How long would he be healthy in a 50gal?
