Why is it that the only fish in the tank that won't go in the trap is the one you want to catch??

Yellow clown goby.
He's making sure no polyps come out on any coral on the left side of the tank.

You got a rabbit in that trap! That's amazing!

In the picture, it's a powder blue tang, a sailfin tang, a painted fairy wrasse, and red parrot fairy wrasse. Just a few seconds earlier the yellow tang was in there too, but I was too slow with the camera.

Maybe you can capture the goby at night. Drop some netting over the coral it sleeps in and remove the whole thing.

I just had a PM suggesting siphoning him out with a large hose. I'll try that after work. If that doesn't work, I'll try your suggestion Kirsten.

I miss my fish trap, loaned it out and never saw it again.

Siphoning didn't work. He won't let that hose get anywhere near him. I imagine it makes a very loud sucking noise underwater.

I put a large branchy monti digi frag in the fish trap. Maybe he'll go try to perch in it.
