OK guys and gals here are the rules:

This contest is open to all Active members of the CVRC.
This means you must be an active participant of the CVRC to be eligible for consideration in this contest.
Everyone may enter who meats this qualification.
If you are not listed on our main members thread and have not attended a meeting, you are not eligible for consideration in the contest.

We need a simple logo that will be rendered in one color on a solid color background print, such as Black on white. We do not need 4 color process images as we have a full color logo already.

Master files (kept until chosen), must be at least 512X512 pixels and in TIF or PNG format.

Upload your thumbnail entries which should be optimized JPG format, to this thread and a panel of judges will select the top three, which reflect the CVRC, and meet the criteria for the group. After this the top three will be up for community vote (more on this later).

Try to steer away from stereotyping, or controversial designs and go with a logo that you feel will reflect what the CVRC is and is about.

All CHOSEN entries will become property of the CVRC and may be used freely in multimedia context in the future without any compensation to the artist. In other words this is for fun guys not for profit :)

Judges decisions are final, DO NOT UPLOAD ANY IMAGE THAT VIOLATES THE TOS AGREEMENT BY REEF CENTRAL. Keep it clean or you may be banned from the forum and Reef Central.

You may enter as many times as you like.

Deadline will be One Month from now JUNE 25th.

GET ON IT!

And best of luck,
Ron

Looks great, come on people lets see what you can do!

BTW before someone starts trouble here Reef4Fun is entering the CVRC Logo at the bottom ONLY, the Jo-mar's design above is a private joke between her and the owner and is not a solicited add or advertisement in anyway shape or form, It is only a joke and no ill intent was meant Im sure. That said lets all refrain from posting any image with links to any place or thing other than the CVRC on this thread :)

Hey Ron, are you counting the grays as part of a black and white for this logo? If you are, It would consist of more than one screen from my screen printing system. The only way one screen can be used on mine is if it is only one color, the grays won't work. I have a very simple system, but I'm sure other screen printers do it easily.

Yep that's why we need to get it down to just monochromatic images, but lets keep the ideas rolling guys! Grey scale is a bit like color, it requires a bigger investment when printing, not as much as full color process but more than simple line art style images.

This is why I have not posted my 3 eyed octopus. I cannot get away from gray scale. Monochrome is VERY Limiting.
