Hi there
Problem is that macroalgae (incl different caulerpa) is fading.
Most of it looks very pale - almost grayish white.
Is it normal behaviour ?
During the day algae gets more on more colour back...

This fading occurs in the mornings...

I would trim it back. My macro is always best looking when I don't have to much in the tank.

I have tried this one.
Seems that there is no difference in my case :(

Every morning i see caulerba being almost white...
Also my brown buttons losing color during the nights...

Maybe its normal...

Halmedia is a calcerous algae and a little more difficult to grow than most Caulerpas. I'd head over to the Macro Algae Section and ask the pro's ;)

I have heard that some Macros will "hide" chloraplats at night to conserve energy? Or something like that....I dunno...I keep my Red kelp under 150 watt MH and they are doing fine..no color loss...
