I have a new 12g Aquapod. Plan on stocking it in two months after everything has cycled. Will I be able to keep a clam in this small of a tank? For lighting I will either have a 70w or 150w MH fixture.

yes you can if you go with the mh

I had one in a 7.5 gallon with 70mh he was happy.

150 would be cool, just keep the water cool

With the appropriate lighting and stable water parameter, you should have no issue.

I have a T. squamosa in a 35 litre tank, 150w 20K MH and the clam is sitting on the substrate at 30cm depth. It has grown a a few mm of new shell since I got it.

The important thing is stable water paramters, as it is with any other marine organisms.
