I am excited to announce that I have FINALLY ordered my new system. Here's what is coming:
150 gal (72L X 18W X 29H) Oceanic tank
3 sides Starphire glass, 2 overflows
glass wet-dry sump (built by Sailfin)
blueline 1200 gph 40X pump
ASM G-4 euro skimmer
72" Aquatinics light-3 250w 10K Ushio single ended bulbs, 20K T5, 3 moonlights, electronic ballast
I ordered through Sailfin-they were able to get the best price on the tank. I checked thier pricing on the pumps and skimmer and found them to be competitive with the online retailers. The sump is prbably too expensive, but I needed a plug and play system. Plus, they agreed to deliver and set it up for $75 (2 hr round trip). I got the lighting at IMAC and it arroved today. Beautiful construction. I am looking forward to setting up. The tank should be here in about a month.
I concentrated on a simple to run system-with the bells and whistles I've been saving for.
Whoooo Hoooooo!!

Congratulations, Audrey! I'm sure you will enjoy it. Let me know if you need any frags. I don't have many, but I have a couple that I think I can spare.

IMAC was good. I was only able to attend Sunday, but Dennis said I could have a set of DVDs that contain the speaker's presentations in replace of the banquet ticket I was not able to use. I will make it available to the club when I recieve them.
I stayed for the raffle and won a magazine subscription to FAMA. Our club memmber from Kankakee won a Kicka-- skimmer.
I would definately go again.

Thanks for the frag offers. I will definately take you up on that! I also need to go through some of my equipment-I have ballasts, bulbs, powerheads etc. that I will not need for the new tank. I'll bring them to the next meeting to see if anyone can use them for a discounted fee-or for frags.
Yeah, about the ag sales thing, it pays well, but I have had to save for 1.5 yrs to buy the stuff I listed. Plus we have no kids (yet) and my husband has a good job as well (ag sales!!). You folks just keep eating pork and I'll do just fine!!

Homer: Wait a minute wait a minute wait a minute. Lisa honey, are you saying you're *never* going to eat any animal again? What about bacon?
Lisa: No.
Homer: Ham?
Lisa: No.
Homer: Pork chops?
Lisa: Dad! Those all come from the same animal!
Homer: [Chuckles] Yeah, right Lisa. A wonderful, magical animal.

Great to hear Audrey! I still don't have all that much of anything to offer at the time but I'm hoping once I start getting things in the 125 that will change.
