Everyone's invited to a BBQ at my place on Sat, June 17th, 4PM til whenever... ! This is a BYOB event. Family members and significant others are welcome. Please RSVP to this thread so I can get an estimated head count. My place is right off Newark Rd./Elkton Rd. (depending on which side of the tracks you're coming from) by Wawa and Durham's. See you then! - Mary

Count me in! my Q just ran out of gas..

05/26/2006, 01:08 PM
Gas? Pah... We only use charcoal 'round here ;)

05/26/2006, 01:21 PM
Ahhh!! Yous guys are purists. in that case I'll bring a couple racks of beef ribs to throw on the barbeque. Nothing like western style slow roasted dry season rubbed ribs on the Q.

05/26/2006, 01:43 PM
I will bring three people total or possibly six. We can bring some veeners, a side dish, a drinkage and some dessert.

Charcoal grilling > gas R'aR, but whatever works! :D

05/30/2006, 12:00 PM
Ah! Bloop! You don't need to feed us all, as usual ;) If you want to bring a side dish that would be cool, but I will have plenty of veeners, etc. Just bring you and your crew!
Ken, I'm not much of a meat connesuir, so I've never seen beef ribs. But my imagination is leading me to think these might not fit on my grill....?!!

05/30/2006, 12:02 PM
I was bringing enough to contribute for mah crew. LOL

We can crack ribs!

05/30/2006, 12:34 PM
darn - I just got invited to NYC for my friend's B-day that weekend - so I think I'm out - sounds like a ton of fun too :(

05/31/2006, 09:53 AM
Ok , simple burgers and mystery meat and side dishes. and perhaps some frag swapping too.

06/09/2006, 10:14 AM
If new guys are welcome, I'd like to come down, maybe +1

I know it's a little different having new people to your home than at a "normal" meeting, so I won't be hurt if you don't feel comfortable having a "stranger" there.

06/09/2006, 12:07 PM
 I'll vouch that he doesn't bite

:D hard :D

06/09/2006, 01:19 PM

06/10/2006, 08:31 PM
Tentatively count me in Mary and Bloop. I'm hoping I'll be layed-off by sometime this week or that we'll at least go back to 4-10 hour days and off the 7-10 hour days.

I'm at the Sulfer unit Ken so you can only imagine what the odor is like LOL.

And you thought your skimmer smelled bad??????????? :D

06/10/2006, 08:36 PM
Naw< that wasn't my skimmer, it was my old deep sand bed...that smelled so rotten.

06/10/2006, 08:37 PM
Oh . I'll be there too TBOR.

06/16/2006, 01:01 AM

06/16/2006, 06:34 AM

06/17/2006, 02:20 PM
Our layoffs Mary, are similar to your weekends off (accumulated).

06/17/2006, 10:08 PM
Thanks Mary!

A great evening barbeque. Good food, Good friends and great conversation. It was good to see everyboby there.
and a nice tank to look at too.

what more could we ask for!!

06/18/2006, 06:44 AM
I too had a great time as well and the conversation and friends were a welcome departure from work. I especially enjoyed Jeff's catalog from AGA. Awsome stuff!!! His plant tank was VERY nice to see too. It's nice to see that freshwater plants CAN be grown and cultivated now (Multi-specied).

I especially enjoyed the rics though.

Taco the corn husking cat was pretty interesting too ;) lol.

06/18/2006, 07:26 PM
Thanks for stopping by everyone, a good time was had by all. We'll have to do that again some time for sure...
For next time I'll have to get Taco to husk corn on command and save us all some work :p
Thanks for the compliment on the rics, wds. Once I get up the stones to frag those blues you'll be first on my list!

06/18/2006, 10:03 PM
Woohoo. I've got some Eagle Eye's now too ;). Just picked them up from Nanoreef who posts in the DRC forum.
If they do well I'll have a few of them for you too in trade if you like?
