Could someone explain to me advantages of circulation as opposed to beefing up the return? I've been looking at beefing up my return to improve circulation, but since looking at this forum I'm wondering if that may be the wrong way of doing things...
Seems like people are saying 3x to max 5x display volume through the refugium and have a seperate pump for circulation. I'm assuming that doing this is an alternative to having ugly power heads all over the display tank? Can someone explain a typical circulation setup with external pump and even setup alternatives?
