bkbailes07,

You can get a full run down on calibration from the RK2 manual that you can download from our website on the support page.

We do provide a packet of 7pH and 10pH calibrating solution with the purchase of a pH probe, to assist in your first calibration.

Scott,

How often do you recommend we calibrate the PH probe?

That depends on a couple things, how old the probe is, and how it’s been cared for. There are other factors as well but those are the main two. As a probe ages, the need for recalibrating increases. A new probe should be good (once calibrated,) for several months. Having said that, it’s not a bad idea to calibrate monthly to ensure maximum accuracy. Doing so will also help you monitor the condition of your probe.

Make sure that each time you calibrate, you clean and inspect your probe for damage. Never wipe the tip dry, rinsing it under tap water will work fine.

Hope that helps,
