I was wondering what chemicals can/will readily eat through silicon. I have a tank that has residule silicone where baffles were once placed. Of course, a new razorblade got almost all of it off, but there is that pesky little bit left that the razor blade can't get. have any ideas of what I could use (preferably not lab grade due to limited access)?
Sometimes one of those plastic Brillo pads will get it.

I would not try to remove silicone adhesive or sealant with a chemical treatment. Mechanical removal is the way to go.
