I have too many tanks to take care of, so I am selling the octo and his entire setup. The octo is an unknown species, but I am sure it is not a blue ring nor a dwarf. To the best of my knowledge, I believe it is a Caribbean octo. He eats 1 crawdad per day (along with anything else you care to add to the tank) Whatever supply I have on hand when sold will go with him. I buy his crawdads at Super Cao Nguyen Supermarket, on approx N. 23rd and Military. They cost $2.99 / lb. I usually buy 20-25 crawdads to keep and feed them out daily. So far, I have never gotten more than a pound.

I believe his tank is a 37L. It measures 36" wide, 12" deep and 16.5" tall. With the stand and light, the whole setup is 46.5" tall.
The stand is a regular 36" pine with a door. The top is an entirely closed glass hood, and the light is a regular 36" flourescent. It also comes with a powerhead (for bubbles) and a fluval 204 cannister filter. There is approx 1/2" of white sand on the bottom, and it is filled top to bottom and front to back with live rock - if I had to guesstimate weight, I would say at least 75 lbs. There are a few mushrooms, moon polyps and some caulerpa on the rock.

I would like to get $250.00 for the entire setup. I am not interested in selling the octo separately, or any of the various parts. I may not be back online today, or much this week, so if you're interested, please call me on my cell (405) 816-4918. I am off work today, so will be available all day long.

Do you have a pic of the tank?

FWIW, here is a picture of Fluffy

April, I didn't get a good look when we had the meeting at your house, but judging from the picture, it might be a Two Spot Octopus O. bimaculoides

Thank you Travis, for adding his pic. For some reason, I decided he wasn't a bimac when I was trying to identify him, but I can't remember why now. I think it was because he was already too big, and he has grown since the picture was taken. Stretched out tentacle to tentacle, he is probably 14-15" wide now, and his body? (gills, nose, fat part that isn't his tentacles) is about the width of holding your two thumbs side by side.

I don't have a pic of the tank right now, but I will try to get one uploaded tomorrow. It's your basic long tank, bought brand new with stand and all equip in Feb when I got the octo. There are no scratches in the tank or stand, and I'm probably on the light side with the amount of rock. The rock, BTW, is much older than the tank, and came out of my 5 yr old seahorse tank when I transferred them to a new tank, so it is very cured & live.

Here are a couple of early morning pics. The first is of the full tank and stand. You can see how full of LR it is. On the far right glass is Fluffy, sound asleep.

This pic is one of Fluffy in his PJ's. He's usually a deep burnt red color, or he can change in an instant to any other colors or patterns depending on his mood. He exactly matched my son's black and white dragon shirt once, and I swear I watched him flash according to the shade tree which was blowing across the window and blocking the sun momentarily. He gets the most awesome (IMO) when he's eating, going thru all sorts of colors and patterns randomly (to me, anyway.)

Anyway, enjoy and let me know if you're interested.
