Would two 50/50 and two actinic be too blue for over a 75 gallon? I don't want a 10k or 15k look but then not a full 20k look. I like a more blue tint to the tank but tried some 20k bulbs on my 20 gallon and it's just too much blue.

It depends on what you like.

When I used VHO, I normally used two actinic, a 50/50, and a daylight.

I don't htink it would be too blue, but it definitly will have a blue color. It would be great for your flourescent corals.

I have done both 2 50/50's and 2 actinic and 2 actinic and 1 10k, 1 50/50. I didn't really see all that much difference of my 55. I did put the 10k in the front to brighten up my sand. Either looks fine to me.

Thats what I want thinking also. I also link a pretty blue tint but not overboard. I think I'll try these and if I don't like it I'll just get new bulbs and switch them around some.

Here is what mine looks like with (in order from the front) 10k, actinic,50/50, actinic. There are also some blue led moonlights, but they really don't stand out until the rest of the lights are off.

Yea, that's a little lighter then what I would like. Right now I'm using a 10k and 20k FL and it's way too white for my liking.

If you are wanting more blue, use 2 50/50's and 2 actinic.

I used 2 actincs and 2 175w 20k's over my 75 and loved the color. They were ESU bulbs, all bulbs (20k, 14k, etc.) have different hues, so you just have to experiment.

Look in my gallery. All the pics were taken under 2 superactinics and 2 actinic white bulbs (actinic and 50/50)
