Well before i got into saltwater i was keeping cichlids.
I have a jar left over of new life spectrum cichlid formula food.
I want to know if i can use this to feed salt water fish and if so what kind?
Here is a list of the ingredants
krill, herring, wheat flour, amino acids, algae meal, soybean isolate, fish oil, beta carotene, spirulina, garlic, vitamin A acetate, d-activated animal sterol(d3), vitamin b12, riboflavin,niacin, folic acid, calcium pantothenate, pyridoxine hydrochloride, thiamine, biotin, di alphatocopherol(e), l-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate(c), choline chloride, cobalt sulfate, copper sulfate, ferrous sulfate, manganese sulfate, ethylenediamine dihydroiodide, ethoxyquin (preservative)
wow ok thats alot of stuff, hope it was worth typing it all out.

Heres the guaranteed analysis:
protein (min) 34%
fat(min) 5%
fiber(max) 5%
ash(max) 9%
moisture(max) 8%
vit a(min) 8000 iu/kg
vit d(min) 450 iu/kg
vit e(min) 200 iu/kg

Ok i think thats everything on the label :rollface:

anyone know if this should be feed to carnivores or what ?or if i shouldnt even feed them or anything else it?

I was looking at the bottles of food the other day and noticed that all the NLS foods seemed to have the same ingredients, the difference was the ratios of the ingredients. I would guess you can feed that food, but for $5 or whatever might as well be safe and use their marine food.

I feed NLS to my fish and they love it. Ive even fed them the cichlid formula that I had left over. No problems, great food
