Is this possible? I just added a colony and looked at my tank last night only to discover them swarmed by bristle worms. Is it possible they are only eating the dying ones or that they are cleaning up other garbage around them?

They were specifically concentrated on the zoos.

Thanks,

Ben

Yes. Common detrivore bristleworms will eat the debris out between the polyps. If the Zoanthids are dying, they will eat the dying tissue similar to maggots. But there is a chance that they aren't your common bristleworm but rather a Eunice species. Try to do a google image search on Eunice and compare them with yours.
