What are the best critters for cleaning up your sand bed?
Have recently changed my tank from CC to sand and want to update my cleaning crew.
What are the best things to get for cleaning sand that are reef safe?
Waht has worked best for you?
Any and all help would be great.

I recommend getting either Nassarius, Ilynassa, or Cerith snails. They keep the top layer stirred just enough. If your tank has AMPLE room, then you might be able to get a conch. They grow very large though. Under your current tank description, if it's for your 45g, then you probably won't be able to get a conch. I would personally avoid things like sand sifting gobys, jawfish, pistol shrimp, etc. They move LOTS of sand instead of stirring it. Also, sand sifting gobies eat large amounts of sandbed fauna.

good move on getting fine sand

- fighting conch

- nassarius snails
- cerith snails

- serpent star

- bristle worms or baby bristle worms
- spaghetti worms

- pods (all reefsafe kinds)

You could get a detrivore kit from inland aquatics or indo pacific sea farms.
