I noticed that a lot of people turn off all their powerheads and pumps when feeding. IS there any benefit to this? What is the reasoning. Thanks

It allows most, if not all food to be eaten. If people are having some problems with algea, etc. this is a good practice. Nass. snails will be able to eat on the bottome. Im doing this now as I got a teeny problem due to carelessness with flake/cube food.

Pumps on allows it to be blown thruout the tank, hitting corals and allowing fish to run it down. Feeds everything, but does allow food to be trapped and possibly go uneaten.

If I was diciplined, i would probably cut my pumps 4-5 days a week to feed and allow it to flow the others.

Also helps prevent most of the food from going into the filters, sump,etc... WHich then raises nitrates.

I keep the flow moving in the tank, but turn off the return pump so that no food goes down to the sump. 5 to 10 minutes later, I turn on the return pump again and the skimmer starts removing whatever it can.

Ditto ^^^. I sometimes turn all off to let the mandarin eat some shrimp.
