I purchased a rose bubble tip anemone just over a month ago and everything was going great until this week. It was attached to a rock and was very happy. It now appears to have lost all of it's tentacles and has been moving around the tank. The tentacles appear to have disintegrated. It's not the normal deflation I see when it would expel waste. Any ideas? I have tried target feeding it and it appears to be barely hanging on.

All my water parameters are right on and everything else in the tank has been doing fine.

Here's a picture of it.

Thanks. I feed DT's Phytoplankton and ZooMax every other day. It also benefits from the mysis shrimp I feed the rest of the tank. But for the last few days I've been target feeding it and it appears to be doing a little better. I'm keeping a close eye on it. Any recommedations on liquid food?

BTAs do not benefit from liquid food, DT's and ZooMax do nothing at all for a BTA
Feed it silversides also called "sand eels" you can get frozen in most LFS or raw shrimp from the grocery store
Just cut either to size it can handle
Good luck with it

I agree. Your BTA looks starved. Feed it some meaty food.

I thought I would provide an update. I've been hand feeding the BTA with silversides and mysis shrimp and it has recovered. It's almost back to 100%. Thanks for the help.
