How many amps does 250W Blueline ballast pull?

I am putting my new Blueline electronic Metal Halide ballast on a timer because they interfere with my octupuss X 10 Controller. How many amps does this ballast pull?

250w/110v=roughly 2.2 or so.

I would figure some extra for startup and since it isn't 100% efficient, probably should figure on 3 or so amps if you are sizing wire or adding up the load on your circuit.

Oh yeah startup--the ballast should have a listing for max draw. They often use A LOT more juice on start up.
