Just wanted to know what people on this fourm had in their tanks. I want to add 25lbs to my 40G that has 60 in it right now and I heard that that might be a bad thing...let me know

Its not really a bad thing but I would think that it would look awful crowded.

More the merrier....As long as your fish have enough swimming room and you can get a good flow arounf all of the rock :)

35-40ish pounds in a 40g.

IMO, when you start getting closer to the 2 pounds per gallon, you run out of aquascaping ability and then the tank just looks ugly. JMO.

Its possible.

What kind of rock are you thinking of getting? You could get some nice Tonga Branch and use that as a base and that would open up the tank some.

I have about 200lbs in a 450g. Too much rock just crowds things and makes for more dead spaces that you need to create circulation for.

Right now I am moving about 700gph + the flow from my bak pak...two powerheads up top facing in and one along the lower back...my rock is set so you can look through the side and see all the way through..figured it would help the flow

I have 72 in my 55. And I have more than plenty of room. Probably getting another 50 lbs.
