For the past week 2 of my scarlet hermit crabs have been together. They rarely leave each others side. There is a small nook in a rock that both of them stay in. If anything comes close they defend the area. I mean they throw the other creatures off the rock!! I have not seen eggs or anything but I really dont know what to look for. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Sorry, I don't know much about hermit breeding. What you describe sounds sounds like what hermits typically do when they are about to molt. They will usually head to a high location that is isolated so they will have less chance of a predator harming them during the process.

This is where mine used to go.
