I saw a couple of these attached to some MJ 1200 in a LFS display tank the other day. Looked to be making some really nice currents in the tank.

Anyone use them and have any input? I'm guessing the could reduce some of the output of the pump, but other than that any pros/cons?

Thanks!

I used them on a pair of maxijet 1200's for a while. They work pretty good but need cleaned every now and then to keep them from sticking. I switched to Seio's for a broader flow pattern.

they work good but ill second the cleaning. mine used to stick if i didnt clean them in vinager. they are really cool on a wave maker you get really random flow.

I have 6, but will never buy them anymore. Too much maintenance and the gears gets worn out fast.

I used one on a MJ1200 and it wasnt that bad. I'd use them again.

I think they are great if you have anything bigger than a nano. they stick out quite a ways from the powerhead.

I had four, put on a wavemaker with MJ1200 - lasted about a month before the gears went out.
