It's looking like a decent RSVP list at this point. I can't wait to see Ted's tank again. It has been since the fall, Ted. I'm anxious to see the change and growth since last visit!

I do plan on coming Ted! Do I need to bring anything? What is everyone else bringing?
I have plenty of Chaeto if anyone needs/wants any (I hear Tangs love it, but don't have a tang to know for sure). Sand trade anyone?
BankerJohn
06/27/2006, 05:20 PM
I have a jar of "Sweetwater Zooplankton" to bring & give away. If someone wants some Chaeto, please let me know and I will bring that too.
gatorolsen
06/28/2006, 06:46 AM
John - I'll take some Chaeto if you have some to spare
also I wanted to let everyone know that Earnie just got a copy of the DVD "Water's Journey" that explores the aquifer - basically footage of divers mapping out the aquifer while other team members track them on land - watched it last night and there are some really beautiful shots
anyway it is about an hour long and I thought that if there was interest, I could bring it to this meeting or any future one and we could all watch it
Just let me know

It's ok with me,but my big screen died, and all I have right now is a 19" TV.

Keri, my tv is not that great either. We can watch it at my house in August, but it is a small tv too.

I'm looking for additional life forms for my sand bed and refugium. I was reading an article and saw a picture of mysid shrimp. I don't have any in my entire system and would like to add them. If you have some in your tank/system, can you try to bring some to the meeting on Saturday. Also, if you have live sand, I would like a sample of that too with as many worms, and other life forms possible in the sandbed.
The article I read was on DT Phytoplankton's webpage and written by Ron Shimek. After reading the article, I am planning to change my fuge a little and remove the shrimp and other hermits from it.
I'm also planning to add DT's to my tank diet. I'll pick some up from Get Tanked on Saturday on the way home.

Ted, thank you for hosting another GREAT meeting! Your set up is absolutely awesome and breathtaking. Thank you also for the frags... they are acclimating.
Steve - Keri's rock made it to the second turn on Shoal Line before it rolled in the seat and broke :( I have the pieces for her. Maybe she can epoxy/putty them back together. I feel so bad; it was so nice!
Diane, Ted & Steve, it is always good to see each of you again.
See you all next month.

Well send PM. Now for John, don't fell to bad I broke one too. I should have put it in a box. If Keri likes the rock I can make more and box them. Thanks for the fish food.

I had a good time too, guys. Kids and I enjoyed the wonderful food and the great company. I appreciate the frag John and can't believe we had rocks for me! I just enjoy getting together with the group and learning about fish tank stuff. You guys are all too good to me. I am happy that my tank is finally growing so I can at least get some small frags to give.
Ted, your tank is becoming more beautiful each time I see it. You are winning the algae war! I hope the chaeto from John helps!

Diane -- I've been working real hard on the tanks. I'll post up pics later today. The frags are growing great. The pink cloves (if that's what they're called) are growing like crazy! They are actually hosting 2 little perc's and it's so cute!
The only thing I had a problem was with the beatiful blue mushrooms (my favorite). They let go of their rock and disappeared and I was pretty sad...BUT...just a few days ago they started peaking out of a hole and seem to be thriving. I'm going to let them stay there another month to see if they'll grow and come out on their own.
I'll post pics later today.
Thx again everyone. I'm addicted!
