that has happened to me, asked my lfs, they thought i was crazy, and when it happened again, i was almost sure someone moved him.

They can move by inflating and deflating their tissue. This is a reason why it's best to keep them on the sandbed.

It might be moving to find a more suitable spot in regards to lighting, flow, et cetera. If it's not a threat to any corals that might be nearby its new spot, I would just leave it, or it will probably move back anyways.

They do that. But I'm suspicious they can't move back if the current opposes them, and if it has lodged itself partially under a rock, it might be kind of stuck or dead-ended.

MAYBE it wants less light, but mine hasn't moved, and it's dead center on the bottom 20 inches under 250 mh 10000.

It likes a fairly brisk flow, but its tentacles should toss about, not go steadily flat over, which makes it hard for it to hang onto food.

since i went to all sps/clams and increased my overall flow, my 6" green plate has moved about 12" in the last 5-6 weeks, to find his current low flow spot ;)
