I have had a few people request that we start a thread monthly for the tank of the month photo contest. So...here it is!
Post your TOTM pics here and please give a short bit of info about your tank to go along with the pic.
Thanks!

Fun Information: This tank is really just a holding tank for my various projects. Eventually, it will be parted out into my wife's tank, a Montipora Only tank, a Black and White tank, two 2g cubes, and a Soft Coral Only tank. The bulk of this tank was all done by me or started with tiny frags. about 80-85% of the rock work is made by me, the tank was drilled and plumbed by me, I made the refugium, and the lights are various retrofits. Most of the corals started as frags from other reefers and I'm an active Donor Program participant.

Couldn't you do your 54g Corner? It came out of your old 55g from home before you opened shop, right?

True.
But, I don't know the rules on commercial entries and what will probably be seen by some as advertisement.

*grumble, grumble* You got a point. Now I can see that with your big show tank because that was all pretty much funded by the store, right? But you bought the bulk of the stuff in the 54g before there was ever the store?

Yup. The corner tank dates back five years with support from Corals n' Reefs, Aquarium Dynamics, Aquarium Oddballs, and Ultimate Reefs.
Now we aren't allowed to shop anywhere else (except for AO), so we just look at it and leave it alone. :)

i dont think its a big deal for a shop to enter the tank of the month contest but thats just my opinion.the corner tank has stuff from everywhere and you preowned it so maybe it qualifies?

I've wondered if we could submit photos of tanks we have put together and currently maintain.

Oops, sorry Scott. I forgot about the new guys in town. ;)
I actually do more business/references with you than anyone else in town.
I was referring more to the stores in town that I am permanently banned from. I am batting 3 for 6 right now.

IMO, the photo contests are just that a photo contest it doesn't matter if you are commercial or not, for TOTM if you maintain the tank then send a pic. To avoid the advertisement issue, there will be no listing of the store in the tank discription, just details of the tank.

I need all entries to be posted by Friday so I can get a poll set up for people to vote over the weekend. The newsletter will be sent out on Monday or Tuesday. Thanks.

That should open up a lot of options. And my offer still stands to help type up any information and host pictures.
