I recently purchased a Swan-tail Angel because I was told it was reef safe. Well!!!! It seems to really love my open brain corals. How does everyone go about getting a fish out of their tank? :(

Yeah, I don't know of any angel that is truely reef safe, so yeah the guy at the LFS told you a big one. I've had to get fish out before...only way I could get him out was to take out all my live rock (~90 pounds), but he had really peed me off.

Alot of good techniques in this (http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=707656) thread. Catching them after lights out has worked for me.

Great Thread!! Thanks for the referral graveyardworm. Wish I had it before I removed half of my LR to get that little bugger. What a mess :eek1: But now I will have it for the future if the need ever arises again (hope not). And no more angels for me.

Tiny barbless fish hook & 4 lb test. If need be get a "salmon egg hook" & file the barb off it. Bait it with a little clam or squid.
