how much turbo snails should I add to my 10g to help keep algae under control?

I would start with 1 or 2.

Turbos can get big and knock corals over, so it's better to have a smaller number of these guys compared to other snails.

Try a couple and see how they do, you can alwasy get more if need be.

I'd skip turbo snails and get astrea snails. They are in the same family, but don't get as large and won't be as destructive. I'd get 2 or 3 for a 10g.

Yea, I guess you should also tell what algae is present?

For hair algae, turbos work better than other snails. For slime algae, astreas work great as well as ceriths. For your sand bed, nassarius snails are very good.

I like to keep a wide range of clean up crews for the different types of algaes and left ovbers present in the tank.

well right now I only have brown hair algae
I have 1 turbo and he seems to be doing good so far but still alot of algae left
I dont think he will find them all by himself
