I just had a peppermint shrimp that hatched eggs. They look like tiny cotten balls with legs. They are to small to put in my big tank I am affraid that the filter will suck them up. I have them in a 2-1/2 gal right now air stone only one pice of live rock. I am going to put them in a 5 gal and then evantualy my 50. The question is this how long till i dont have to worry about the filter getting them.

You're going to need to supply them with very specific types of extremely small food, and maintain high water quality at the same time. Chances are they wont make it they do make good coral/fish food though. Not to say it cant be done just very difficult. :) There is a book available which has instruction on raising them.

You'll find the book near the bottom of this page.
